BRODIE CASTLE; CLAVA CAIRNS; [Culloden Battlefield]

Suggested duration of tour: 5 hours - allows over 2 hours at Brodie Castle. £ 160 for up to 6 persons. Brodie Castle maximum admission fee of £ 6, free to members of all participating National Trusts.

We leave Inverness and travel by little-used back roads to Clava Cairns, the most important prehistoric monument near Inverness. We also point out a number of other prehistoric (and historic) features in our journey along beautful Strath Nairn to Brodie Castle.
This tour goes by Cawdor Castle and, if you wish a feast of castles, you may also include Cawdor in your itinerary.

After leaving Brodie, we return west by a slightly different route.
On the return journey we make a short stop at Culloden Battlefield - enough time to visit the Graves of the Clans and the main overview of the battlefield. You can make a longer visit at increased cost; or catch a public bus back to Inverness from Culloden.
